The AI representative surge is part of the tech industry’s effort to squeeze more capabilities out of its huge financial investments in AI technologies. Microsoft has actually launched its own AI agent home builder as part of its Copilot Studio, while Google has its Vertex AI Agent Builder.
Oracle’s announcement follows the business’s chairman, Larry Ellison, joined OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son to reveal their joint Stargate Project. The venture seeks to invest as much as $500 billion constructing AI information centers throughout the US.
The first information center is currently under building and construction in Texas.
Oracle’s cloud service ranks below that of Amazon, Microsoft, and Google in terms of total market share, but the company is riding the same AI wave as its bigger competitors. In Q2, Oracle reported earnings simply short of experts’ quotes, sending out shares falling following the statement.
That said, cloud infrastructure earnings for the quarter rose 52% to $2.4 billion, while cloud application earnings jumped 10% to $3.5 billion.
